LesVamp is not only a great story, but the tale of how it came about is also fascinating. Believe it or not, LesVamp was born in a dream. I was a fairy. I had two sisters and we lived in a deep dark forest. Suddenly men began to chase us. We were afraid and ran as fast as we could.
That’s when I woke. The whole day I thought about that dream. I had questions. If it had gone on, what would’ve happened? By that night the intensity of my concern about the dream had faded. Of course that night the dream didn’t reoccur.
I kind of forgot, except once in a while when suddenly I would find myself thinking about it. This went on for almost a year, and then one night it happened again. This time I was all alone. I was searching for my sisters but couldn’t find them.
When I woke, I knew this story must be told. Not long after that, it began to take shape. First I sat down and told the story to my partner Sarah and based on that I began to write. It took a whole year to get it done. That, however, was only the beginning.
Writing a book is the easy part. Getting it to the point of publishing, not so much. First, you have to find an editor you trust and can work with. I had a problem because I wanted someone local that I could meet and talk with. That proved to be a daunting task. Finally, You also need a publisher.
Are We Done Yet?
Absolutely not. Once you get published you have to learn how to market the damn thing. There are many different ways to do this. I am experimenting with a few.
My Journey into this world of fairies, vampires, witches and all things magical has been so revealing. It has also been freeing. In it, I get to explore Terri Atwell. Tansa can do anything she wants to. No matter how much heartache and trouble the world throws at her, she always comes out on top. In a future story, she may even rule the world. Want to come?
